How well does it work in DOS? I mean, will it run for 10 minutes in DOS, doing this
and that?
The question is, how old is that hard drive? A drive that is failing may run for
a few minutes or even a few seconds and then have a random error that can force a
reboot.
Overheating can cause failures, too, but that should take more than 10 minutes.
