Ken - Did you buy an upgrade or a full version of Win98SE? What does it say on the
disk. e.g. "For computers without Windows?" or for "Computers with Windows 3.1/W95'?
Anyway, if it's an upgrade version you can just insert it into the CD drive and it
will ask you if you want to upgrade your system. Say yes and just let it go. Be sure
to select "save system files". Just enter the product code when it asks for it. This
procedure will keep all your files including drivers! If you got the full version
you should do a clean install, that is, insert a boot disk and re-format the hard
drive. Then re-boot and select start with CD-ROM support. At the A prompt insert
the system disk and enter "setup" and it will install a new version of Windows98SE.
Remember. this procedure erases all your old personal/system files so you will have
to re-install drivers for your video and sound cards as well as modem or network
adapter!
