Hi, I have searched for an answer on this forum, and some come close, but no cigar. My problem is that I installed Windows 98 se on my daughter's old computer (it was running windows 95), and it worked fine at first, but about an hour later she tried to start it up and it gave her a page fault error that MSVCRT.dll was missing. She had been deleting old files to make room for new stuff, so that's likely what happened. The main problem is that the start up disc is not being read, and I can't even get the system to start up in safe mode. Is there a way I can access DOS, and then put that dll into the system file from there? I have no idea if or how this can be done. I have downloaded a copy of the dll, but can't do anything with it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
