ok I did a bad thing. I went to SFC and loaded it up, and i didn't un-tick "scan
for changed files". I meant to just scan for the ones that are deleted. Anyway,
it removed updated files and replaced them with the old version. Now, when i go
to startup windows, i immediately get a "fatal exception error" in explore. it won't
get past that. I can't even go into safe mode, because it does the same thing.
I know when you have a problem EVEN in safe mode, there's something bad happening.
Aside from reformatting and reinstalling, any have any suggestions? I've even tried
to restore a registry backup from 2 days ago, but i still get the same problem at
startup. Any suggestions?
thanks for any help!
