DOS Prompt -- No Windows

C:\WINDOWS\WIN    (Enter)
   (Those are BACKslashes.)

IF No_Joy, type
DIR C:\WINDOWS\WIN.COM    (Enter)

IF Still_No_Joy, type
DIR C:\WINDOWS    (Enter)
