Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum

I am working with a friend that is blind and using win98. She is able to create emails
and send them but is unable to read recieved emails.
Does anyone know of any software for win98 that can easily read text in outlook express?(
some what like narrator in winXP)
Any help much appreciated
