I've heard that too, but who would want to run WMP 10, when WMP 6.4 does a perfectly good job?

I admit I downloaded WMP 10 just to get my hands on the Fraunhofer IIS MP3 Professional codec L3CODECP.ACM but I used an unzip program to extract that from the setup file, without installing the program.

To play mp3 files in Win98, including streaming files, install any version of Winamp 5. I recommend Winamp v5.06 from http://download.oldversion.com/winamp506.exe
