Hold down the Shift key and right-click the file. Select Open with. Tick the Always Use This Program... box. Choose whatever program you want to have open this. (Probably your browser.) Click OK. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. TIFFs are not directly supported by any browser I know of. I use IrfanView to see them. In IfranView, under Options; Set file associations it is easy.
