Hi Sherry.

It depends what you mean by "she deleted her audio file". Deleted what file, 
*.wav, *.mid, *.wmv, *.asf.

Do any sounds files play on her system?

Does her system make any sound? Check the volume control, C:\WINDOWS\SNDVOL32.EXE

Another suggestion is to download Windows 
Media Player 9.0 Series
