Script errors while using HP software

My HP scanner has a "director window" that allows me to interface to the scanner/printer however when bringing up the "director window" I get script errors. If I boot with my backup hard drive the program works fine. Just to be sure I copied the entire program from my backup drive to my primary drive, rebooted with my primary drive and still have the error. So I then tried to bringup the "Director Window" from my backup drive and now I get the script error there, too. So something in my primary drive is not configuring my computer properly when booting. I hope this makes sense! I'm hoping you can get me headed in the right direction. Thanks a mil, Uncle Dewey
