Adding second computer as hard drive

(Only slightly computer literate) I picked up an old 40gb computer with USB port. According to fdisk, the disk is functional and empty with no operating system. (They wiped it clean.) However, it only loads "C" Primary Partition. Now, the question: Is it possible, because of the USB port, to use this computer as an external hard drive, without dismantling the drive? (Or, is the USB port on a computer ONLY an input?) I want to use the old computer USB as an output, and input into my computer. Possible? Also, old computer only gives "C" Primary Partition, which would be a conflict with my own computer's "C" drive. If not possible, a simple "no" will suffice. Thank you for your time and patience. Herb
