Hello and thanks again. The PC is a Gateway 566 mhz. Came from local school which
is probably why they ordered it with no sound. Sound card I bought is apparently
generic. No maker's name. Simply says ESS 1938 4-channel PCI Sound Card. I tried
an internet search but it gives me an Eagle ESS 1938 which is a different card. This
one looks different than the Eagle. Mine has the standard 2 and 4 channel jacks,
earphone jack and an input jack. Plus a game port (not needed). I hope this is enough
info. Thanks again, Jim
