Hi Marshell.

Well the only way around this if Windows won't start as normal. Will it start in
Safe Mode?

As its starting up hold down the Ctrl key until you see the DOS menu and select Safe
Mode and enter. If it starts up then go into Explorer and do a search for Protocol.ini.
If you can't find it anywhere then make you own file.

This is whats in my Protocol.ini

[ndishlp$]
DriverName=ndishlp$
Bindings=

[protman$]
DriverName=protman$

[data]
version=v4.10.2222
netcards=

And SaveAs Protocol.ini in the Windows folder.

If Windows still doesn't startup in Safe Mode then you can do the same editing in
DOS. As before hold the Ctrl key on startup and select from
the menu.

Then type Edit this is the DOS Ascii editor similar to NotePad. Just type
in the text from my Protocol.ini above and SaveAs Protocol.ini in the Windows folder.

Now I know my Protocol.ini isn't going to be exactly the same as yours but at least
its a start.
