Anything DOS-based has pretty rotten "security".
You can *improve* the miserable default-install "security" a bit.

An NT-based OS is marginally better--but the "security" of anything Micros~1 produces
can easily be defeated with a bootable Linux CD / thumbdrive.
If you are looking for REAL security,
you are going to have to break the M$ mindset and get something UNIX-based.
(Security-wise, an out-of-the-box Ubuntu Linux install beats anything MSFT ever devised
--even after Windoze has been "thoroughly" tweaked.)
