Thanks for your reply. Does it say anywhere on the packaging "Supports Windows 98SE"? Oh yes it most definitely does - on the box (where I always look first) and on their website from which I downloaded a copy just n case the one on the CD was out of date. I have even tried a smaller capacity SD card. NO Joy! There also seems to be a problem in that the icons for the individual drives in the Reader don't all display properly. If I put a card in the reader it causes Explorer (and a file called shwicon98) to be "not responding"
