I'm seeking help to find out how to disable programs that are in ctrl-alt-del as
the system I am working on boots extremely slow. I've tried numerous suggestions
mentioned in the postings here (some worked); however there are 2 programs msgloop.exe
and msg.exe that are not listed in msconfig/startup to uncheck, I tried finding them
in win.ini file with no luck.
I tried going to regedit HKEY Machine/software/ms/windows/current version and looked
in the run, run-, runonce, runservices and nothing there
soooooooo do you have any other suggestions to try?
when I did a file search it found these exe. files in c:windows\system, c:windows\temp\Riptide...,
and in c:\windows\options\cab
I wasn't sure if entries in these could be deleted safely from running in background,
without affected the audio feature altogether.
From what I found out, these are from Riptide Audio that's on the system.
The Riptide Audio is listed in add/remove programs, but I don't want to uninstall
it, just don't have these running in the background.
Hope this wasn't too confusing - my brain is scrambled :-) Thanks for any help
and thanks for this website, I've gotten lots of valuable help here
