The problem you report is sometimes caused by programs that run automatically on startup conflicting with your video player program.

Possibly the computer is not powerful enough to cope with so many programs running at once, e.g. perhaps it does not have enough RAM memory installed to do so.

To stop programs running on startup -

1. Go to:

START > PROGRAMS > STARTUP

and delete the shortcuts there.

2. Disable programs using System Configuration Utility:

Click on START then on RUN, and in the "Open" box that pops up type MSCONFIG then click "OK", to open the System Configuration Utility.

Click its STARTUP tab. On that tab, untick the entry for the troublesome program(s), then click "OK". Restart your computer. The program(s) will no longer load automatically on startup.

If this proves to be a problem, go into the System Configuration Utility again, re-tick the entry for that program, click "OK", and restart the computer. The program(s) will then run on startup automatically every time, as before.
