You can have Foxit set as the default PDF reader, and keep whatever version of Adobe Reader you want installed as a backup.

Versions of Adobe Reader that work well on 98 (ex.= version 5) have some security holes left, which is why you should use Foxit as the default reader, especially for opening PDF web pages.

My 4000+ has ONLY Foxit 2.2 installed, and it's opened every PDF I've tried, including all of my tax documents from 1999 to 2006!
