Well before you start with your web browser start with your desktop. Right-click on the desktop and select properties and look at Display. How many colours do you have available? 16, 256, 16bit High, 24bit High or 32bit High? If you can't select any higher than 256 then you need to update you video card drivers. And how long have you had this problem?
