Bingo, Keith!!
First I did a quick check on "What is a web accelerator".... Then realized that
the TurboConnect via our ISP is just that. Doesn't help a lot on our dial-up, but
does some. And it has been riding quietly in the background for some years now.
It has said nothing to us, and I've been ignoring it. But after your note, I started
checking things out. We were a full version behind, but I suspect that the problem
was more a matter of degraded/damaged or missing files than version number. Anyways,
I uninstalled the old version and installed the new one, and *all the graphics are
clear and crisp and beautiful*!
You are good, sir! I would *never* have looked in that particular direction to fix
this problem! Thanks..... gewg is right. Brilliant insight. Fixed it.
Just a few sentences for all at Annoyances that help out...... Thanks. I try to
do my own homework, and figure things out, but it is very reassuring that you all
are there. I think that, in trying to keep a cobbled system up and running over
the last decade, I have only hollered for help here 5 or 6 times since about 2002.
But when I asked, someone always had the answer, or at least some solid information
that helped up know what was wrong. Thanks to all.
