Oh, so that's the reason some sites are balky on that. But I don't need the parser. By trial and error I found that I can select anyway if I click and draw the mouse upwards across the text. As the saying goes, "The problem with making something foolproof is that fools are so ingenious." Of course, that means ... But anyway I got it to work by simply doing it backwards.
