Reinstalling Win98 on laptop

Had trouble with my Armada 7730 laptop so decided to wipe my hard disk clean (after I did a startup floppy but forgot to put the /s switch on it) . Interswapping the floppy and original CD doesn't work. Researching through this site I found an excellent reply from Sparky to someone with the same problem and did exactly as prescribed, except download a Win98 disk from a site ...dos.1i5 etc ... which proved to be a bunch of ads and was no help. Can anyone help me transform this paperweight into a fully functioning machine?
