Hi all, first I hope I posted in the right place? I have an old Thinkpad 380D that
I want to give to a friend in Mexico. He'll never be able to afford his own, and
to make a long story short I wanna help him out, so we can communicate, and he can
explore the internet at his leisure. The person I got it from has a Xircom Realport
Ethernet 10/100+Modem 56 which is a carbus thus 32bit, and from my understanding
my old laptop is a 16 bit PCMCIA slot and wont support it? I have no idea why the
peron has/had a 32 bit cardbus in a 16 bit PCMCIA slot, or if it ever worked for
him? Its recognized in the computer when I put it in? Anyway, I'm thinking I must
uninstall what by all information I have is the wrong ethernet card in the first
place and find a proper (16 bit) one. Does anyone know what kind of ethernet card
I should have for my Thinkpad 380D and/or where I could find one?
