Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum

My father has an old Thinkpad 600E running Window 98 and has just signed up to Sky
Broadband. He has a PCmCIA ethernet card but doesn't know how to set up the laptop
with the router/modem Sky have supplied. Is there anywhere where there is a step
by step instruction about how to set up the laptop so that it doesn't try to use
the dialup modem and instead connects directly with the boadband connection? Thanks
for any help.
