Thanks Bob, but I already researched the existing card we spoke of and am all but
positive its the wrong one because its a 32 bit cardbus. I know from what I have
found out so far that my model of laptop only takes a 16 bit PCMCIA card Type II.
Apparently a cardbus will not work in a 16 bit slot, but a 16 bit will work in a
cardbus(32bit) slot. I've managed to find a couple of brands to explore that may
work, they are 16 bit 802.11b Wireless PCMCIA cards, Linskeys has one...I'll keep
you posted and let you know if it worked...if I can get one up here that is, in the
frozen tundra????
