You will probably get more help from a broadband networking forum. broadbandreports.com
may be of more assistance or Google for a Sky forum.. It should be possible, but
Sky doesn't support Win 9X. Minimum is W2K/XP or higher. Reason is that Win 9X
may have to have protocols added that come in W2K/XP so it is a more complicated
process for setup. You might find someone in your area that has successfully set
it up with Win 9X.
Using a wired connection could simplify the setup process versus wireless but either
way, it will take more work than W2K/XP. You will need to add some additional software
from a Win 9X install CD if you have never had a LAN set up on the portable machine
before. That info is on a lot of forums like practicallynetworked.com and others.
Generally, you will be better off wired with Win 9X than wireless. Many people,
(including me) had nothing but problems with wireless networking in Win 98/SE/ME.
(Wireless wasn't really designed for Win 9X anyway where as, W2K and XP are)
