Sometimes luck is on our side! ;-)
But you are correct that he should upgrade. Win 98 is no longer supported and on
broadband, he is 1000% more likely to get hacked as there are few programs and utilities
to secure his machine. All support for Win 9X is being dropped by virus and malware
programs. There are still a few but they will end within a couple of years max.
