Greetings Kevin:
I've been having problems with my printer also. Couldn't use the CD that came with
the Epson printer, WIndows would shut it down. Tried downloading off Epson website,
couldn't install because of a missing _SETUP.DLL This is what I finally found out
was the problem. When I updated to Windows Internet Explorer6 it also downloaded
some XP dll. To cut to the chase, IE6 has Xp dll.'s that will overwrite your original
dll.'s. The only new printer that supports 98 is the Epson Stylus C88+. It also
supports XP, Vista, etc. I got mine today. The printer CD opened, the printer installed
in about 5 minutes.
Best Regards,
Gerald

I had a working HP Photosmart printer using a USB port on my PC and now the printer
isn't listed. I tried unistallating/reinstalling but it never completes the install.
I am able to scan to the printer though!
Add Printer Wizard never finds the driver either.
Other printers dont install completely either -I get a "missing .dll" sometimes.
