Hi Uri.
Well the Win98SE CD is bootable so you need to get into the BIOS and change the boot
sequence to read the CD Rom first.
You then have the other problem that Win95 is already installled and I don't think
Win98 will install over the top, unless its an upgrade CD.
The normal way to do this is to use a bootable floppy disk but I presume you don't
have a floppy drive. Even if you did you would probably have to exchange it for the
CD Rom anyway.
Make sure you have saved all your useful files of the Win95 setup. Make sure your
laptop will boot up from the CD Rom. Then I would restart your laptop and press the
F8 key every second to get you to the DOS menu, select Command Prompt. Now its 10
years since I last used Win95 so I'm not sure it C:\Windows\Command as been set in
the Path.
Just type Format C: /S and enter.
If you get a massage bad command or file not found then type in CD C:\Windows\Command
and enter and at the prompt use Format C: /S again. This will wipe everything on
the drive so you will have a fresh install of Win98SE. The /S option will put the
system files back on the drive so ay least your laptop will startup to DOS.
After the Format restart the laptop again and install Win98SE.
