Now this is something that I was told about on another forum read
here. I've never had to use this facility because I've always used a boot disk
with CD Rom support for 14 years. The fact that Eyesee says "Definitely not
an original 98 cd. That explains why it wont boot!"
I can't get my head around this one. If someone has copied a Win98 CD then depending
on what software they have used it should do an exact copy of the original. So if
it was bootable before it should be bootable afterwards.
|Keith did mention CMOS Setup
|(and, like 99% of the people who talk about it, incorrectly called it "BIOS").
I've always known it as the BIOS. BasicInputOoutputSystem.
If you do a search for BIOS you get 124,000,000 replies. If you search for CMOS you
only get 23,800,000 so which term is more common?
|The BIG thing that Keith neglected to ask is
|Do you have a Windows Product Key for the W98 CD?
I didn't ask this because if someone has a Win98 CD then they must have the serial
number or search the web for it.
