I still have my originals of every version of Win98se that I know of, other than
one. It was known as an "Update" and only worked with W98's First Edition. None
of mine came with bootable MS-DOS files. I have an OEM, a Full, and two different
Upgrade copies. AFAIK, my WinME Upgrade was not bootable, either.
As best I recall now, I didn't start hearing about any W98 versions that would boot
up, until after WinXP was out on the market, and thus long after I'd bought my own
Win98s.
