Internet Explorer & Installing software

Any solutions for the following:
1 Internet Explorer Self-extracting cabinet
For XP = IE7-Windows XP-x86-enu
Is there a windows 98 version by any chance? Would that be IE7-Windows 98-x86-enu?
Or more likely a w98 version for IE 6.0, 5.5 or 5.0? If so, would they be IE6-Windows
98-x86-enu ...
2 Installing software without an installer Wizard
If no installer wizard exists and add/remove does not work either. How is it possible
to install software (plus no install option exists on the txt file) in the correct
unknown locations - in this case a display driver?
3 Uninstalling software-proper procedure
The same applies to uninstalling software without an uninstaller, as well as neither
accessible via add/remove? Just deleting, fails to alter the registry for one thing.
