Drivers are not installed in the usual sense. You can put it in any folder you like
(although Windows/System is most usual); then to start using it you go to "add/remove
hardware" and follow the dialogs, eventually getting to the point where you tell
Windows where the driver is stored.
To uninstall a driver and replace it with another, go to "add/remove hardware" and
follow the dialogs to change the driver, or change it in "device manager". To just
uninstall the driver (so that the hardware no longer works at all - not a good idea
for a display?) you can indeed delete the file from Windows/System and delete the
hardware from "device manager".
Sorry if I@ve made any mistakes in the above, just responding from the hip without
checking my facts first because I'm currently running WinXP (I know I shouldn't really...)
