Thanks for your reply Bob. I did as you instructed, but... I do
not have 'system informaton' as a choice under
START>Programs>Accessories>System Tools

I had, however, in the past, as I think I mentioned in my 
original post, repaired IE via the add/remove programs function,
which had no impact as far as the invalid page fault error.
