Hello, At last I found that it was the network adapter (a Realtek, which was changed recently) that prevented Windows to shutdown completely. I read that this is a problem that can be solved replacing the drivers (I have got the complete list of them) for it with the original (pre-SE)Windows 98 Version (4.10.1998) but I don't know neither where to find them nor the procedure for their installation. Can you help me ? Best Regards. Alberto
