Thanks again, Steve, for suggesting that I try again to reinstall the drivers. I reinstalled the adapter driver and everything is back to normal. Last fall a Dell Technician supposedly reinstalled that driver and nothing happened. That is why I had said previously that I had already reinstalled the driver. He must not have known what he was doing. I did not have to reinstall the monitor drivers. Anyway thanks to you everything works like it used too.
