OK. We're on the same wavelength now.
If you had a second (MODERN)
browser installed, you could use that as a test.
(Those are also less likely to ASSIST in INFECTING your Windoze computer.)
If that test showed that Internet Exploder was the problem,
you could just stop using that PoS and switch permanently
to your other BETTER browser.
If IE is broken and you want to try to fix that hunk of junk, here's the stuff.

The reported DNS error message, however, could be due to any of a number of things:

You didn't say that you had been doing something different lately;
that could be a possible cause as well.
