Hi, I'd like to move a virtual drive from a computer using Windows 98 to a computer using Windows XP. I have all the necessary software installed (netBEUI), Direct Cable Connection and File sharing installed on the Win98 system. XP seems to use a networking protocol, I created a new connection. The two systems do recognize each other and know they're connected. Only problem is, I get no explorer window that shows the other system or its drives, that would let me commence to manually move files. I looked in "my computer," Explorer, etc. and couldn't find any- thing about the opposite system on either one I'm connected to. I have a usb-to-usb cable but would rather not use it, as I've heard and witnessed drives overheat and fail from too fast data transfer. This is a one-time transfer and the printer-port cable is just more convenient. Thanks for any suggestions.
