I tried not to give too much at once, so here's another.

Do the same as be fore except type SCANREG/RESTORE. Hit enter. You will see all the 
copies of your registry.

Lookfor one that says "STARTED" and preceeds the date your problem occured. follow 
screen prompts to Restore your Registry.

Type "Win" when finished.

In the future pleas post the "EXACT" error message, otherwise we're just guessing.

BTW. If you need to remove a Program, always check ADD/Remove Programs in Control 
Panel. Remove the program from there or use the Uninstaller that came with the Software.

Deleting a program seldom removes it properly and can mess up files Shared with other 
Software.
