|"DLL file MSVCRT.DLL not found".

I'm trying to figure out what would be *worse* than having to reload Windoze.
|This is why I was thinking of getting a shop to do the job.

Probably a wise move for someone not familiar with the DOS command line.
Reminds me of the old Dirty Harry line, "A man's got to know his limitations".
That's a shame because
there are probably SEVERAL copies of it scattered over your HDD.

The old hands here will appreciate how KDE (originally for Linux)
has recently been ported to Windoze(NT)
and how the package management that comes with it
(also previously a Linux-only construct) avoids that kind of nonsense:
