I don't know why you need to create this small partition with a 6Gb drive there is
no point.

All you need is a bootable floppy Bootdisk
with Format.com, Fdisk.exe and suitable drivers for your CD Rom drive on it. Some
people say the WinME boot disk is better.

Then you need to check the boot sequnece in your BIOS so it boots up from the floppy
disk first. Insert the floppy and startup the computer. Once it reaches A:/ with
a CD inserted change to the CD drive D: and enter. If the prompt goes to D:
you can do a Dir to see all files on the root of the drive. This will make sure you
can access your CD Rom.

Go back to the floppy A: and enter then type Fdisk and follow all the instructions.
You need to remove all drives that are list then it will restart. Run Fdisk again
and set a new DOS primary partition. With that size drive you only need one, and
follow the instructions. After it restarts back to A: type Format C: and enter
and follow the instuctions.

Now because you are doing a fresh install of Win98SE you will need all additional
drivers for your hardware, sound card, graphics card, printer, scanner etc

Now the Win98SE CD is bootable so before you try to install go back the the BIOS
and set the boot sequence to read the CD Rom first. Restart the computer and follow
the instructions.
