I'm running win98 on an older Compaq laptop. I have "diagnostics for windows ver
4.12a" installed in control panel. On the test mentioned, it tells me that my hdd
has failed, and the action to take is replace the hdd.. This is the only test the
hdd fails. Using Compaq diagnostics, everything passes with flying colors. To me,
the hdd seems to be working fine, no operating issues. Just was wondering about this
test, thanks.
