Here is what it means. COMDLG32.DLL is calling for a function named SHRegGetValueW
that COMDLG32.DLL thinks is inside the SHLWAPI.DLL file.
It isn't. And that's where the error report comes from. I know because I have and
used Dependency Walker on the 98 IE
6.00 SP1 SHLWAPI.DLL file and sure enough, that particular function is not there.
It probably is there in that file in a higer version of Windows no doubt, which means
that your current COMDLG32.DLL is from the wrong platform than the one that you are
currently using.
How did you do that? Not connected to the net and all...
And just as an aside, one can not fire up Windows without a working Shlwapi.dll file,
it will refuse to live. So it was always there and the problem was not with it in
the first place.
