OK. My W98 machine, as did a lot of other machines, had problems with malaware. Windows
98 wasn't that great an operating system either. I stayed with it for a while, then
upgraded with another machine to XP. I did not see a valid reason to hook two machines
onto the Net, so only my
XP machine is attached to the Internet. I still use my W98 machine, or should that
be "used", to do all of my hard work on such thlings as writing letters, etc. I would
then import my work to the XP machine through a flash drive. Once the problems occured,
I reloaded W98 to try and repair fault. That created even more problems by eliminating
all of my imported drivers. When I tried to reload them, all hell broke loose and
now I have a dead computer. Does that anwser your aside?
