From my 1st message: "My system is dual booting with Puppy Linux which will still boot." I have very little data that I need to save from my C:\ partition so that I can readily get rid of Win98. The only reason I keep it is because I have several programs that are quite old but I can't find anything as good currently available. It seems that I will have to trash Win98 and start again. I can't figure out how I could have gotten a virus because I use Win98 on the internet only to download antivirus updates and adjust the clock with Nistime.
