Iam sorry, I did the restore from a restore cd that came along with the Emachines 443i. That's why I got in trouble, I did'nt create a disk to save all the stuff that was already installed before I did the restore cd. So now Iam trying to get that worked out, plus I still have yet to try the site that Arminius supplied, so Iam off to do that right now. But the modem is a creative modem blaster / DI5630/DI5631/DI5633, and it worked fine before, Iam learning these things the hard way, mistakes first then repair my mistakes.
