I have a question about How
do I stop Windows from connecting to the Internet every time I open my browser?:
This is more a comment than a question.
It has long been my custom to enable a phony connection as default.
This of course requires that I initiate all connections, which I am perfectly happy
to do because there are all kinds of sneaky entities which will make the attempt.
Many times, I have been alerted to unruly or downright malignant activity on my own
darn computer by a popup
telling me about a connection request I had nothing to do with.
thanks
