I not only understand the question, I gave a solution to the ACTUAL question asked
(echoed in a similar response by Steve).
I don't know what kernel is used by the zeleps tool suggested by Arminius,
but since it is called "freeware" (NOT Free Software), it's a safe bet it's not GPL'd
--but that tool is also a solution to the actual question asked.[1]
...and what is truly sad is that in your Microsoft-centric world
you don't even understand the question well enough to give a USEFUL answer
*AND* you THINK you understand it well enough to criticize CORRECT answers.
[1] I've been curious for some time if a FREE non-Linux-based tool existed
and that one is the first I've seen that will resize/edit partitions.
In this respect, Ranish Partition Manager and Cute Partition Manager are posers
and 7Tools is a crippleware demo.
There is a 4th that doesn't appear to be bootable
and is spec'd to work only under NT.
(How it works on a mounted partition, I don't know
--so, I'm guessing that is a fraud as well.)
