Yes, I adjusted the MaxPhysPage filesize some time ago when I built my machine. Actually 98se worked fine with 2 Gig but wouldn't boot into Safe Mode, as I felt it was too useful to lose I had to remove the 1 Gig chip to be fully functional. I bought 2x 1 Gig chips with Linux in mind. I gave you the specs thinking of your remark on suitable distros. Anyway the good news: Flash Card Reader problem resolved! I tried Nathan's drivers and nothing happened when I clicked 'instal' so then tried Maximus Decim's Native drivers current version 3.3 and IT WORKS!! No fuss, simple, quick, as we say over here in the UK "it does exactly what it says on the tin!". Complete with a neat little 'safely remove' icon in the systray and an uninstal utility (like you need one??) it's brilliant! There are some very clever guys out there that put manufacturers to shame and the support you give is amazing to us novices; so to Gewg and all of you, THANKS! :)
