You forgot to mention the remote kill switches.
...and apparently you haven't noticed the DRM issues yet.

You also forgot to mention that Windoze still requires an anti-virus app.
Mac OS X, Linux, BSD, Solaris, ... have NEVER required band-aids.

Only those who don't want to use modern application software.
e.g. OpenOffice3 and Firefox3 won't run under M$'s stock version of Win9x.
Vendors who haven't already dropped 9x support have it on their agenda.
(Opera Software is one of the few exceptions.)
NOTE: Vendors of software firewalls have universally dropped 9x support
but that's no big loss as old versions are available free and those are better.

Most of the "best band-aid apps" don't run under Win9x
--even after the 3rd-party patches have been applied to 9x.

There isn't support for modern hardware either.
Just try to find a MoBo or peripherial that comes with Win9x device drivers.

Here's the big one:
Win9x hasn't had security updates in over 3 years--the mark of a dead platform.

...and the modern competitive product
that DOESN'T suffer from these deficiencies is available FREE:
Linux Mint
